Samuel D. Fries, CPA, CFP has been promoted to the position of Senior Manager.
Sam is a member of SSB’s tax team and, as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), he heads up our investment advisory service, SSB Managed Wealth, LLC. In addition to assisting SSB clients with their financial planning, Sam’s concentration is in the manufacturing, real estate and farming industries. Sam is a member of the OSCPA and Mahoning-Shenango Valley Estate Planning Council. He also serves on the Board of The Piggyback Foundation of Youngstown. Sam is a graduate of John Carroll University and received his Master of Taxation from the University of Denver.
Kayla A. Emanuelson, CPA has been promoted to the position of Manager.
As a member of SSB’s tax team, Kayla provides tax compliance, planning and research services for businesses, individuals, estates and trusts. Kayla’s concentration is in the manufacturing, construction and mining industries. She is also one of SSB’s consultants to the brewery industry. Kayla is a member of the OSCPA and the Ohio Craft Brewers Association. She is an active member of the Polka Dot Powerhouse and a committee member of the Mahoning County Pop Shop. Kayla is a graduate of Thiel College in Pennsylvania.

Elaine E. Remick has been promoted to the position of Senior Team Accountant.
Elaine provides accounting and tax compliance services to SSB clients. She has a Master of Accountancy degree from Youngstown State University and is currently pursuing her CPA credentials.
