SSB CPAs Announces Team Member Promotions

Connie Augustine-Thompson, CPA has been promoted to the position of Senior Manager. Connie is a member of SSB’s tax team where she consults with clients on business and individual tax planning, multistate taxation issues and payroll administration and taxation. She is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, assisting clients with accounting system setup and evaluation. Connie has advanced knowledge in the health care industry and speaks on tax and accounting topics for local professional groups. In addition, Connie is a faculty member of the Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance at YSU. Connie is a member of the OSCPA, and she is a planning committee member of the Youngstown State University Tax Institute and also serves on the Youngstown State University Women in Accounting Day Committee. Connie is a graduate of YSU and received her MBA in Accounting from the University of Akron.

Moira M. Fair, CPA has been promoted to the position of Senior Manager. As a member of SSB’s accounting team, Moira provides assurance services to SSB clients. She has specialized knowledge in the manufacturing industry and employee benefit plan auditing. Moira also provides consulting and controllership services and assists clients with accounting systems setup and evaluation. Moira is a member of the OSCPA and the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber—Canfield Council. She is a graduate of Miami University.

Andrew G. Klapac has been promoted to the position of Senior Team Accountant. Drew provides accounting and tax compliance services to SSB clients. He is a graduate of Youngstown State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Taxation at the University of Akron.

After serving two tax seasons as an Accounting Intern, Emilee R. Smrek has joined the SSB team full time as a Team Accountant. Emilee has experience providing tax preparation and accounting services to SSB clients. She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society and a graduate of Youngstown State University.
